Hi, I can't seem to get any sound from the rear channels using a 4-channel spea= ker=20 setup on the sound card on an ASUS P4B533-VM motherboard. I'm testing my speaker setup with=20 http://www.alsa-project.org/~james/speaker-test/, but the sound sent to the= =20 rear channels never shows up, except when I enable 'center LFE downmix', in= =20 which case it gets routed to the front speakes. My 'surround' mixer is=20 unmuted. I have this setup working in Windows, so wiring should be OK. The rear chan= nel=20 is connected to line-in.=20 I've fiddled with the other options in alsamixer, but they don't seem to ha= ve=20 any effect. Strangely enough, 'duplicate-front' and 'line-in as surround'=20 don't have any effect either. Any help would be much appreciated?
