Hello, I've finally installed and got sound from my new SBLive! My setup: 1. Debian testting with kernel 2.6.7 (alsa 1.0.4) 2. SBLive! card 3. On-board intel8x0 card which took me a while to make the system stop configuring. I got sound from the new SBLive just fine on a couple of speakers connected to its green output socket. I also manage to record through a microphone connected to the card's pink socket. But when I talk to the microphone, even with no application recording at all, the speakers echo what I say, feels like sort of a Kareyoki(sp?) system. A recording program did record what I said to the mic. I played with alsamixer as much as I could but couldn't get rid of this. What can I do? Also - the new card is listed as "card 1" and not default, even though I think I managed to get rid of the on-board intel8x0 from having its module loaded. I keep having to tell all applications which card to use because they report "can't find default". How can I set the new card as a default? Thanks, --Amos |
