The problem looks like its kernel related. I found out that if I unplugge= d=20 my USB mouse, it wouldn't be detected when I plugged it back in. Upgradin= g=20 from 2.6.4-mm2 to 2.6.5-mm1 fixed it. That's what I thought, but /var/log/messages was mentioned in a discussio= n=20 about the Midisport on the Gentoo forums, got me wondering if it was=20 output specific to hotplug or whatever.
