[Alsa-user] live 5.1 not ac3 sound on the digital output

HI! i have a problem getting audio on the digital output when the source isn't 
AC3.

Some DVDs has AC3 sound, but others has LPCM...

How can i output on the digital output both type of sounds, with mplayer?

Does i need some asoundrc file? could you post some?
