But timidity -Os -o dmix somefile.mid shows behaviour similar to the one you described. Volume skipping. Voices dropping out. Panning is changing randomly... Very weird. doesn't work at all really.. I tried some sampling rates (with and w/o "plug" plugin): timidity -Os -o "plug:'dmix:RATE=3D48000'" works superb timidity -Os -o "dmix:RATE=3D48000"=20 show the same behaviour.. It's the same for other sampling rates as well..
