Hi, since I bought my Thinkpad R30 (~1 year ago) I tried to make ALSA work on it, but until now (ALSA 0.9.1, Kernel 2.4.20 and Kernel 2.5.62) I didn't succeed. Kernel 2.4's trident driver works just fine (but Kernel 2.5's doesn't). After loading snd-ali5451 successfully, I dont get any sound out of the speakers. Alsa-mixer seems to work, but it doesn't change anything real. Here some output from lspci -vv: 00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: ALi Corporation M5451 PCI AC-Link Controller Audio Device (rev 01) Subsystem: IBM ThinkPad R30 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR+ <PERR+ Latency: 32 (500ns min, 6000ns max) Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 11 Region 0: I/O ports at 9400 [size=256] Region 1: Memory at 81c00000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold+) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Does anyone have any suggestions to get it work? I'd really like to have sound in the future (Kernel 2.5+)...;) Andre -- I want to hear you scream..in pain.Play some Rap music |
