Ya,you've got the wrong kernel.
However, mandrake isn't exactly the  "best" OS for compiling matters anyw=
ays.=20
It's not really that hard to upgrade the kernel, you just have to figure =
out=20
how to do it.. Then again, I'd suggest waiting untill the next Drake vers=
ion,=20
because they've already got Alsa support (halfway) implemented into cooke=
r.
