I do some home computer help outside of a 9-5 job. I'd like to record
customers and jobs, and send invoices. I'm thinking AllocPSA is too much with
it's projects, tasks, timesheets etc. Does anyone have any views on whether I
could use it? Would I create a new project for each client I go and see. I
think I'd then have to also create a new tasks to record the visit so it
appears on the calendar (which I'd like to integrate with google calendar so
it comes up on my phone).

I currently use an Access db that I'd like to get off if possible.

    Cheers,

    Derek

    Derek,

if you thnk that allocPSA has too much functionality and complexity, perhaps
you should look into some of the simple, hosted, online task and timesheet
    apps?

Hi there, I'm using alloc in a simialr fashion to record opportunities, track
    projects/tasks, timesheets and invoices.

It does seem like there is a lot in there but so far I've found that if you
fill in the projects and tasks early then invoices and timesheets are a
    breeze.

My last post was a request for calendar services as I also think if you could
synch calendars that would really clinch it for me!

    Hi Phil,

Very glad to hear it's working out for you. I would love to have some sort of
google calendar syncing in there too. If you know of an easy way to get it
going please let me know! :-)

    Alex
