hi,
i am running Windows XP Home Edition w/ GTK 2.6+ and
.net framework 1.1.
i downloaded an dinstalled mono (this file
ftp://www.go-mono.com/archive/1.2/windows-installer/rc0/mono-1.2-gtksharp-2.8.3-win32-rc0.exe)
but when trying to start Alligator but double clickingg
the alligator.exe file, still getting the error message:
"u must 1st install .Net Framework v2.0.50727
u write on the alligator website that one only needs
.Net 1.1. i cannot install .Net 2+ on my system.
anyway to resolve this and install w/ .net 1.1, etc.?

otherwise, can u provide a link to an ealrier version
of alligator that would install?

    well, i have been able to install .Net 2+ and tried various versions of the gtk#--the runtime only or the full package. the .Net error goes away but Alligator does not start--gives new error message that it "needs to close down" b4 even starting up (when i click on alligator.exe.)
    the GTK version i have actually seems to be: 2.10.6 and Glib 2.12.4
    can u help?
