Oh, I just noticed, step 6 should have an additional note about Windows NT/XP/2000: 6) Likewise add the line 'set MINGDIR=C:\dev-cpp' to your 'c:\autoexec.bat'. If you use Windows NT (which includes 2000 and XP) then open the Control Panel, and click the 'System' applet, then the 'Advanced' tab, and finally the 'Environment' button.
