Moreover, this example might give newbies some wrong ideas. `getpixel' is an especially slow way to do things. I'm going to say `no', but another maintainer might be willing to accept it. >From <all...@ca...> Sat Nov 17 19:08:40 2001 Received: from oosix.icce.rug.nl [129.125.14.80] by canvaslink.com with ESMTP (SMTPD32-6.00) id AC0415850122; Sat, 17 Nov 2001 19:08:36 -0500 Received: from oosix.icce.rug.nl (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by oosix.icce.rug.nl (8.12.1/8.12.1/Debian -2) with ESMTP id fAI04xlE011195 for <al...@ca...>; Sun, 18 Nov 2001 01:04:59 +0100 Received: (from hein@localhost) by oosix.icce.rug.nl (8.12.1/8.12.1/Debian -2) id fAI04xx1011194 for al...@ca...; Sun, 18 Nov 2001 01:04:59 +0100 From: Hein Zelle <he...@ic...> Date: Sun, 18 Nov 2001 01:04:59 +0100 To: al...@ca... So fix it and release 3.9.40 again? I think it would be a good idea to have the beta sitting on the website without such annoying installation problems. Those who have already downloaded it probably fixed it already anyway, so this marginal difference shouldn't cause many problems. If we're going to call it 4.0 beta I think at least the installation should go without problems. It's also a hint that we have to check this BEFORE the final 4.0 release: things with the configure script seem to go wrong more often during releases. I think if I read and modify some more examples, I can write better code. _________________________________________________________________ Chegou o novo MSN Explorer. Instale já.
