Today I have uploaded to www.poenikatu.co.uk/algol68/ the testing version of the Algol 68 binding of the Xforms library. You will need the Web68 system (a literate programming system for Algol 68). Let me know if you have any problems with the binding. It has not been tested thoroughly, but most of it should work. The tarball algol68-devel.tar.bz2 has been updated with the source of some utilities which no longer use Algol 68 arguments, but the normal Linux arguments of a program. The regex module and include file have also been debugged. Regular expressions are useful in all sorts of ways. The Algol 68 regular expression module and include file use the regular expressions provided by the FTE editor except that the set complement is not ^ but ~ and the set range character is not - but :. The regular expression metacharacters can be changed to suit the programmer. See rx init. GUI programming is never easy, but Algol 68 makes it interesting. -- Sian Mountbatten Algol 68 specialist -- Sian Mountbatten poe...@fa... |
