I'm editing the title in the hope that it will make this bug more meaningful.
If I could edit the summary, I would probably do that as well.

I propose (as before) that when the "Unread" column is disabled, the unread
item count should be displayed in brackets next to the feed name, as in KDE3
Akregator. To facilitate the usage and discovery of this feature, the Unread
column should also be disabled by default. I see no harm in leaving it in, but
I suspect that there are very few people who would prefer it.
