When scrolling up/down with the mouse wheel, the scrolling is not smooth at all. For instance, scrolling for a second or two, you can see jerky movements and slight pauses when scrolling should have happened. The scroll speed is slow in that a mouse wheel flick starts a smooth scrolling animation that takes a long time to finish. This makes akregator fairly unusable for me as it makes browsing pages a pain. If I open the same page in konqueror, I get nice smooth scrolling. This indicates to me that it is something wrong with akregator. Also, scrolling with the keys is smoother/faster than in akregator. To try to make akregator usable for me, I tried to turn off smooth scrolling. I found no option for this in akregator and turning off smooth scrolling in konqueror did not do anything to akregator. For reference (although I don't think there is anything special about this page; they all have the same jerky scrolling in akregator for me as far as I can tell), this page does what I describe above: http://blog.nixternal.com/2008.06.05/hardy-kde |
