Hi, in the next few weeks, Debian's aide packages are going to migrate to a more complete rule set which will also take care of package directories which are prone to change during normal operation. We will have some rules for directories that don't exist on every debian system. The warning "There are rules referring to non-existing directories" is contraproductive here. I have therefore patched aide to not emit these warnings in low verbosity modes, and to handle the error value in a different way. Please consider the attached patch for inclusion in upstream aide. I am not sure about the verbosity value for the warning. IMO, it should be higher than 5 so that it is not visible by default.
