Does AI File Sorter work offline?

Yes. The app can run entirely offline with supported local models.

Are files changed automatically?

No. AI File Sorter shows a review step before any rename or move is applied.

Can it rename files without moving them?

Yes. Rename-only workflows are supported for images and documents, and audio/video files can also receive metadata-based filename suggestions.

What kinds of files can it analyze?

The app can categorize general files by name and context, analyze supported picture files with a visual model, analyze supported document formats by text content, and suggest normalized names for supported audio/video files from embedded metadata.

Why do some category languages disappear for some local models?

Category labels are generated canonically in English first and then translated. The available category-language targets depend on the multilingual support of the selected built-in local model.
