#43 Can't register new user, SMTP problem

Greetings, I'm write you because I have a question about the configuration of Express Agile Project Management. I want to configure the smtp with a gmail or hotmail account, but I'm getting error in both, I have :

FOR HOTMAIL

mail.host=smtp.live.com
mail.port=25
mail.authenticate=true
mail.username=MYMAIL@hotmail.com
mail.password=MY_PASS
mail.from=MY_MAIL@hotmail.com

FOR GMAIL

mail.host=imap.gmail.com
mail.port=465
mail.authenticate=true
mail.username=MYMAIL@gmail.com
mail.password=MY_PASS
mail.from=MY_MAIL@gmail.com

I dont know if I'm doing something wrong, but I can't send message.

The host server should be smtp.gmail.com instead of imap.gmail.com , i.e.

mail.host=smtp.gmail.com

Other info seems OK, port 465, use authentication with working username/password.

(Besides, if you want to use IMAP for your email client you have to explicit enable it in Gmail settings - it's disabled by default).
