The Advanced Search Tool has many uses (too many to describe here) but following the example below you should be able to experiment with Advanced Search and find exciting ways to pull data you want from AGENCY.
1. Click on ‘Advanced Search’ link in quick search box 2. Choose object type “Social Services” from the orange drop-down box 3. Click “Go” 4. You’ll now see a list of all fields associated with the ‘Social Services’ record 5. Use the search dropdown box to narrow results as you like—for example if you want to see
all of the E-02 codes entered by Paul Employee since February 1, 2011, you’d make
the following selections:
Service EQUALS E-02
Service By EQUALS Employee, Paul
Service Date IS GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 2/1/11
6. Click ‘Search Now’
KEEP IN MIND:
If you are using this for multiple searches—be sure that any search criteria you DON’T want to use have ‘not used in this search’ selected in the first drop-down.
If you want to specify DATES, the best is to use “is greater than or equal to” or “is less than or equal to” then sort results by date and look only at those that meet your criteria (the ‘BETWEEN’ doesn’t work)
Ignore the ‘Group by’ check boxes
