Adding_a_Log

1. Is this something that should be entered in an incident report?

     •  YES!
        a. Follow instructions for adding an incident report in AGENCY.  Once you have done that--
           it will automatically post to your building’s log and shift report as well.


     •  NO
        a. Continue to question 2.

2. Is this information related to a housing notice, inspection failure,

  tenant concern form, care conference or other record that already has a place in AGENCY?
     •  YES!
        a. Enter your comments directly into the housing notice, inspection failure, 
           tenant concern form, or care conference record.  Follow instructions for 
           editing a record and add your notes.
     •  NO
        a. Continue to question 3.

3. Does this log involve a tenant?

     • YES!
        a. Type tenant name or bldg/unit number into quick search
        b. Click ‘add a log’
        c. Select the building log this entry should be added to
        d. If the log involves another tenant in a meaningful way, click 
           ‘refer to other records’ and attach the other tenant
        e. Enter log subject
        f. Enter log text
        g. Click ‘Yes’ to add to the shift report
        h. You should not enter date & time unless this is a very late entry
        i. You should not add alerts—the entire building team will be able to read the log so 
           there’s no need
        j. Click submit and save with your password


     •  NO
        a. Click on ‘logs’ in the green box on the upper left side of your screen
        b. Click ‘add a log’
        c. Select the building log this entry should be added to
        d. Complete log subject
        e. Enter log text if necessary
        f. You should not enter date & time unless this is a very late entry
        g. You should not add alerts—the entire building team will be able to read the log
        h. Follow log/shift report protocol regarding whether this should be added 
           to the shift report
        i. Click submit and save with your password
