After long time, new version is out. First question to answer is probably why version 2.1.99. Well, there was some version 2.1 but it was canceled. So I skipped version 2.1 in numbering. Why not 2.2? Because I still want to finish something before version 2.2. Namely I want to play with threads some more to improve parallelism. Also some more testing may be useful. So now something about changes. There is new method, namely squares method. Other new feature is threads support and some other features, like suffix recognition. Affisix now includes simple shell tool called affmark to help you with marking your results. And thats all main changes from users point of view. >From programing point of view, Affisix now uses automake and autoconf and there were a lot of changes in internals. I'm planning more of them in version 2.3 and some cleanups in version 2.2. If you find any bugs, let me know via mailing list ;-) -- Michal Hrusecky <Mic...@se...> |

Hi all, as Affisix already has mailing list, I'll send all news to the mailing list too. So if you want to be informed about the latest news, you should subscribe this mailing list. All news published to this mailing list will be marked with subject beginning by 'ANNOUNCEMENT: ' and will be posted by me. So if you are interested in news only, you can filter all other mails out. -- Michal Hrusecky <Mic...@se...> |

This is a testing mail. Previous mail didn't appear in sourceforge archive, so I'm testing if this one can make it ;-) |
