[ADodb-general] ADOdb_Active_Record not checking for magic_quotes_gpc?

Hello,

I'm using the following code with ADOdb_Active_Record, but i see that the
save() funciotn is not checking if magic_quotes_gpc is activated?

$template = new Template();
$template->Load('id='.$_REQUEST["id"]);
$template->source_en = stripslashes ($_REQUEST["source_en"]);
$template->save();
if (!$ok) echo $template->ErrorMsg();

I only could resolve adding the stripslashes function:

$template->source_en = stripslashes ($_REQUEST["source_en"]);

Is there any "cleaner" way to do this?
