Altering a View will not preserve formatting and comments, whereas altering a Procedure does preserve both comments and formatting.

It is unfortunately broken by MySQL, not by Adminer.

I understand that formatting is not preserved by the DB engine, but you could at least add a line break before each of the following (FROM, WHERE, AND, ORDER, HAVING, LIMIT, and "(") when displaying it in textarea. Please? ;-)
I can provide you a small PHP function doing that, would you implement it?
