The ADempiere application is automatically setup with correct properties and paths. There is nothing else for the user to do except launch ADempiere! The installer can also detect and bypass if Java is installed. The source code for the NSIS installer is also contributed into trunk.

Malaysia is having its inaugural International Open Source Conference, the MSC OSCONF 2009 this May 31st through June 3rd. ADempiere is making its biggest debute yet in such an international conference participated by Google's Chris Dibona and Mike Owen of SQLite.
ADempiere is represented by Kai Schaeffer from ADempiere Deutschland and myself since i stay close by :).

Now ADempiere is going through its fast childhood. Second birthday cake eaten. Seven stable and development versions released. New functionality created and even more is in store. This is a good point in time to meet again and discuss the structural problems we have on the technical and organizational side, seeing where we are and where we want to be in the future.

The ADempiere ERP Project

A collaboration started by the Sydney University and IBM Innovation Centre, Australia has resulted in some graduate thesis papers deploying ADempiere over to Websphere App Server (WAS) and IBM DB2 database.

There will be more to come for such a defacto community (non-commercial) FOSS ERP project.

ADempiere Project Management Committee is calling to freeze the ADempiere trunk (branches/stable) to iron out final bugs and stabilise it for a next Release 4.0.

This is an important milestone release that includes Libero Modules for Shopfloor Manufacturing and Management as well as (remote host2host) Replication. As such no further features or code refactoring is allowed.

Any further new works such as the Query code refactoring towards further Database independence are been carried out in the experimental branch. ... read more

This is a series of ongoing Development Branch Releases of our upcoming next planned version for ADempiere 350. It has many new features mostly brought by Victor Perez, e-Evolution, Mexico. It is synched with the present official Emily 340s Release. You can view most of those features under the Sponsored Development in our http://www.adempiere.com/wiki main page. This release is under limited production usage by e-Evolution clients for certain features. Other features are still new and untested. It is hope that many users use this for beta testing as well as development work and synch back with us to ensure that it can be accepted for official release. Do not use this for production purpose. We particularly appreciate help in areas of documentation, test scripts, release help and feature review. We reckon there should be about a couple of candidates before that 350 can happen.
