Hi all. First of all I would like to thanks all the developer that have worked on the acx100/111 driver. I'm really exited about wep support. Anyways on to my problem. I've been using my card (acx111 based) on my Mandrake system without much problems. I had to use the firmware that came with the windows driver cd. Well now I trying to get the card to work on a Ubuntu system. I've copied the firmware from my Mandrake system to the same folder on my Ubuntu system. The contents of /usr/share/acx/ now looks like this: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 42324 Apr 13 23:10 ACX100_USB.bin -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 76268 Apr 13 23:10 FW1130.BIN -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 936 Apr 13 23:10 RADIO0d.BIN -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 964 Apr 13 23:10 RADIO11.BIN -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 912 Apr 13 23:10 RADIO15.BIN -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7208 Apr 13 23:10 RADIO16.BIN -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 40636 Apr 13 23:10 WLANGEN.BIN The driver compiles without problem and I used the same config that works on the Mandrake system, but when trying to bring the card up, it refuses to associate. Also /iwlist wlan0 /does not find anything. Looking at the logs (/var/log/messages) I notice this: Apr 13 23:10:52 localhost kernel: Polling for an IRQ FAILED with 0, cmd_status 0, irqs_active 1, irq_status 0. Bailing. I guess this is the problem. It's just that I have no idea what this means. In case this is not the problem I've attached the last 100 entries. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks Pico |
