Yepp, just figured out how easily the wlan0 can actually be melt into the eth0 bridge of the router using brctl ;). So now the nw path is: ath0_STA -wifi-> acx_AP -eth-> Laptop ... and I can use iperf to measure throughput. It's around 7Mbit/s, which also corresponds to the final results of some subsequent scp tests, which was around 1MB/s (I know, was just to verify ;). That's already a much better test setup than before. So now we can research how to bring it up to the 3.5MB/s.
