When installing Windows updates, this app starts to consume 100% of CPU and is leaking memory like crazy. The same can be observed when creating/deleting/renaming/touching tens of thousands of files. Please fix.
When installing Windows updates, this app starts to consume 100% of CPU and is seemingly leaking memory like crazy. Granted it's not the latest version, maybe the bug has already been fixed.
It would be very nice if the program could be enrolled in various package managers like WinGet, Chocolatey, Scoop, etc. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for your handy Activity Indicator program. It is very helpful on my laptop. I've made a small donation. Is there a way that the extra indicator could be shown over the Windows lock screen and screen saver when the PC boots up? I like to wait for the disk activity to mostly stop before I logon to Windows. I may pursue the Wifi HDD LED but it seems like it would be an awful lot of overhead. Thanks!
About the possibility to show the activity of more then on drive/partion. As explained above, two instances needs to settings whta is not possible at the moment. For me it would be enough to get all partitions of a/all disks with one instance displayed. So that the "LED" flashes when something happens on any paration. TIA
There is no such functionality for Activity Indicator. Please contact to ngeorgousis @ hotmail.com for help
please help me ...i do not know where i creat master key ..please help me for your one video for easy to understand for master key creation because i am uneducated so please help me with one easy video
Found that possibility after messing with autostart which led to start two instances. Unfortunately settings are saved in registry thus I'd need to change drives after every boot which is not satisfactory. Is there maybe a solution for having multiple instances with own settings, as option's path in registry HKLM\...\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Activity Indicator\Settings1 suggest there could be also Settings2, 3, and so on
You can run multiple instances of the program
howdy Is there a way to indicate operations on more than 1 partition? Drive selection allows only to select 1 partition, not even whole drive.
OK this is quite old Mapped drives are not supported. It is a limitation by operating system.

You have a strange way to ask for further development. Once again thanks for your review.

Do not dismay Limbo. I'm sure you can revamp your Activity Indicator. See Ya.
Thank you for your "Review". I guess you can go back to Floatled then. :-)
For years I'm using FloatLed a really smart led indicator that shows activity in all my disks, including externals with simple unobtrusive indicators I placed vertically in the upper/left corner of my screen. That way I have all my disks C D E F G drives letters blinking red and green. Unfortunatelly it is a very old application and the publisher site have dissapeared. That's why I am looking for a newer HDD's indicators. Unluckily Activity Indicator is very limited and not as simple and smart as...
Thank you Limbo. Please make it for example yellow and if possible 8x8 pixel round or/and rectangle like a small LED.

Well noted. It will adopted in next version.
Dear community, the Activity Indicator is a great product, it is very useful. I would like to know if it is a possibility to use another icon set, Is it's possible to create the new one? I would like to see it smaller, like a dot on the tray. Thank you!
Conflict with Activiy Indicator driver and NumLock on keyboard. When Activity indicator is started it takes over the number keypad on the keyboard. Numlock led on keyboard flashes on and off with drive activity and number keypresses don't work on keypad. The number keys across the top of the alpha keys still work OK. This happens when using a Logitech G910 keyboard or a Razer Black Widow Elite keyboard. ***Default when installed uses the NumLock key as a visual indicator. It can be disabled in the...

Thanks Limbo. You are correct about the version. I have 2.0.9.52. I will update to the latest version. I also have un-installed, re-installed the .NET framework software.
I am running Activity Indicator 2.0.9.52 on Windows 10 pro release 1803. It works well and I have it displaying a C: drive icon in the system tray. I get a Microsoft.NET Framework unhandled exception (shown below) about once per week. It looks like the Activity Indicator is involved and it dies as a result. Can anyone suggest a fix? Thank you! ** Exception Text ** System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The operation completed successfully at System.Drawing.Icon.Initialize(Int32 width,...
"Activity Indicator Pro Trial 3.2 on Windows 10 pro release 1803." Are you sure? The latest version I have is 2.0.10.58 and there is no trial version of it! Where did you find this? Try to download the program again and replace the previous files. Is this helping? Try to re-install .NET framework. Check you system for any pending updates.

It seem to interfer with the screensaver (Specifically turning off the monitor) as well. Don't know if this is pertinent to previous versions as well. Also noticing some flickering while using streaming video in fullscreen mode. Seem to be the same type of player as YouTube, or at least it looked the same with the "Press esc to exit"-message. I'm running version 2.0.9.52 on a Dell PowerEdge 1950 mk. II with Windows 10 Pro. I'm thinking this communication would cause that, since it's sending data...
Hmm, just realized something. The drive selection doesn't quite work in the program as I'm using drive mappings. I get no "reading" from either disks unless I open these in explorer or something is using it. Isn't there any other way of accessing the drives, like through WMI or something?

separate icon / icon state for disk write?
Do you mean to have seperate indication for reading activity only? I'm not sure that the current structure of detection supports that... but it is indeed a good idea. I will dig to the source code to see if it is possible.
Exclude folder from log
You can exlude any part of the path by adding it to "Don't log lines containg" field and enable this option. Multiple entries are accepted selerated by semi-colon.
Exclude folder from log
Hi, I second the request. As econd led, or a second color on the same led to read operations. Perhaps its better to you a "pro" paid version?

I've been using this program for years on my laptop, just got a new desktop PC, and was very happy to see it finally updated (in the past year or so, anyway) when I went to install it on the new machine. Well, I guess this is one of those cases of, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Both machines are running Windows 10, and 100% up-to-date with the latest patches. NEW BUGS with 1.1.7.38: Crashes left and right, especially during desktop startup. When interaction with keyboard LEDs is enabled, it...
