BTW, I just realized that the HP Omnibook XE3-GF and the Satellite 3000 series are made by the same ODM (Compal), and share identical information for the embedded controller in their DSDT. So far, I think the chipset implied is the same. I tryed the omke utilities to see if I am right, and yes, they worked. For now, with the omke.pl (can be found on http://sf.net/projects/omke) I can switch LCD on/off (even if actually I found another method) and I can have the extended keys (mutimedia, DVD, CD, WWW and user defined). I can't test the touch pad setting, since I have an accupoint instead, but perhaps you can test that?
