I just wanted to say that this patch worked for me too on a toshiba 3000-X11 laptop (nearly the same as Bruno's, but with a Celeron instead). Entering and resuming S1 state works under X, while playing some mp3s, with some pcmcia cards working and the usb modules loaded. (I have right now no usb device to test the sleeping state with.) The kernel is a 2.4.18 with acpi-20020404. That's just great ! Thank you a lot ! =C9ric Brunet PS: I don't have S2, and S3 doesn't work yet with this patch; the computer goes into sleeping state, and the power button starts blinking. When I hit it, the hard disk spins up, screen stays black and, after a couple second, the hard disk spins down and the power button starts blinking again. If I hit it a second time, disk spins up and nothing else happens. |
