It is only a "bonus" for all toshiba 3000 models :) But for the ACPI case, I only support a subset of the toshiba 3000, that is 100 and 400. Perhaps it should be included in a FAQ ? Something like: "if you use grub version xxx, also set explicitly the mem argument as ..." Note that I use grub, but my version of grub don't set explicitely the mem argument.
