It would be nice to be able effect an action for multiple
tasks all at once.
Typical use case for me:
At work, I input everything I have to do as it comes up.
Often, when I re-open my todo list I have completed
several tasks--particularly at the end of the day, I may
have 10+ tasks that are complete.
It would be nice if I could mark each task (w/ checkbox)
and then click "complete" and have all those tasks
marked complete at one time.
This problem is exacerbated by an annoying bug:
-----------------------
related BUG
-----------------------
The category being viewed RESETS to "All Categories"
whenever you click complete (and possibly at other
times). The currently viewed category should mostly
NEVER change unless a new category is selected from
the drop-down combobox.
So now, at the end of the day, I'm looking at all of my
tasks in the "work" category and one by one, I have to:
1) click complete (wait for browser to refresh)
2) reset the category to "work" (wait for refresh)
3) repeat
When you're marking a couple dozen tasks complete at
once, a LOT of time is wasted waiting for the browser to
refresh. Try it. This is incredibly annoying at the end of
the day when I'm trying to get the heck out of my office
and go home.
---------------------
For each task, put the "edit" button in its own separate
column. Next to that column put a column of
checkboxes. At the bottom (and or top) of the column
have the buttons:
"delete, complete, open" (to keep the column narrow, I
would put them one on top of the other in a column
instead of in a row)
When those buttons are clicked, apply that action to
each row that has its checkbox selected. In the case of
the "open" action, ignore tasks that are already open
(aren't complete). In the case of the "delete" action,
prompt for confirmation.
