#36 Fatal error: Call to undefined function

I followed all the steps to create manually the DB,
the creation is successful, but when I open the
index.php I receive the error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function:
mysql_real_escape_string()
in /var/www/html/todo/src/index.php on line 129

what's wrong ?

What version of PHP and MySQL are you currently running? Is
this under Windows (IIS or Apache) or Linux (what version of
Apache)?
