I think is important Updater supports proxy connection
to internet since Achat is used in bussiness and in
this king of places like in my job there are http
proxys with personal login.

I have the same problem. When I press the button "Check for
updates on the internet now!", the button becomes disabled
but it never looks again "enabled". I don't get any error
message. I can imagine that it tries and tries to get the
page for ever
PS: using 0.141 beta6

For sure! It's automatically configured by my company. If
you are using IE settings, when I should see a pop-up

That's probably the issue, standard proxy doesn't need
authentication and AChat only uses Win32 API call to
download the file. If anyone is interested in adding this
feature feel free to do so.

Do you see "Unable to connect to the internet!" as the
version number in the updater list? Or do you get an error
when download is about to start?

Could you try function of auto-update program? Not the
"Check for updates on internet" in AChat's settings window.
