In Beta 7, the user gets an error message if he clicks View ->Open My Images if the My Documents Directory is removed or renamed.

I think there must be a registry key somewhere or something similar where a program can find out the real name of the My Documents directory of a Windows installation.

BTW: AChat is not the only program with that problem. CDEx creates \My Documents\My Music by default if it does not exist and doesn't consider \Eigene Dateien\Eigene Musik on German Windows systems.

But the EXE installer of Beta 7 for example works totally correct and offers C:\Programme\AChat as the default installation directory to the German user. :)
