hi all, for Linux Magazine NL (http://www.linuxmag.nl/) I'm working on a test for USB ADSL modems. I've got a bunch of them, 4 of which are using the AccessRunner chipset. Three modems have the USB id 0572:cb06: - OvisLink AM-100U - Trust MD-3100 - Sitecom DC-204 v2 The OvisLink and Trust are completely identical, apart from the colour (the Trust modem is gray, the OvisLink is light-blue). I wasn't able to extract the firmware from the Trust/OvisLink drivers, but I was able to extract it from the Sitecom driver. The difference is that the drivers Trust/OvisLink ship are newer than the one that Sitecom ships. One of the differences seems to be that the firmware is based on VxWorks 5.4.2, while the driver that Sitecom ships uses VxWorks 5.4.1 (according to strings). Is this a known issue? The other modem I tried is a Conceptronic CADSLR4, which has a built-in router with 4 ports, but also a USB connector. It presents itself to the system as a Conexant AccessRunner chip with USB id 0572:cb01. I couldn't get the firmware extracted from the drivers that were shipped either. Does anyone have any hints for this? armijn -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ar...@uu... | http://www.uulug.nl/ | UULug: Utrecht Linux Users Group --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
