Although I am taking a small holiday from mid December to and more likely the end of the year. coding/programming progress has continued with some five programs completed but that does not mean that I will not have to revisit the code for any changes required when coding other functions. One major issue is that there are some extra deductions now in place via the Federal and possibly state governments that are in addition or replace some currently programmed for, one of which is health cover via...

Work has started in creating a ACAS Payroll system for the US market where code is based on the CBASIC code from 1979/80 etc. That means any changes to taxation for Federal, State and local tax liabilities may well be catered for. IF you spot any mistakes please advise via email to vbcoen@gmail.com. So far Payroll programs completed are payroll.cbl, py000.cbl, py900.cbl, py920.cbl with py010.cbl at coding stage (Employee input for basic data (complete), Earning & Deductions (Coding), Rate data entry...

I have started creating code for Payroll based on the CBASIC code ( more or less). More or less? Well I do not have access to a Basic compiler that can compile CBasic nor an operating system emulator for CPM that works with it say under Linux or if I have to Windows v11 (that would use a laptop as against my normal Linux system. Yes what is really needed is a working CPM emulator, CBasic v2 compiler and may be a CB80 compiler as that one compil;e to binary and not INT code that needs a runtime system...

All manuals and other documentations has been updated for v3.3. I will upload any changes in the next few minutes into the cvs area and nightly into files area. .
Code base is now v3.3 where previous versions have no more development and the fact that v3.3 has many more features over the v3.1 release. Enjoy. I am still looking for people to volunteer to help test, update documents and manuals etc so all you need to be able to do this is be registered here on Sourceforge.
With the system update to v3.3 the nightly build link is at : applewood.linkpc.net/files/acas/v3.3/nightlybuilds Same note of above apply - built around midnight local London time.
Nightly v3.3 update only

New code repository now set up as Code-v3.3 and this is to replace the old cvs-v3.02 one and this will no longer be maintained with any and all changes made on this new one. All code and mauals etc have been uploaded but I have removed the OE code so if you want that you will need to go to the old repo of cvs-v3.02. All new nightlies will use the v3.3 code base.
Purchase ledger is under test with may be some revisions to the manual if the docs need to be update to reflect new functionality etc. I have also started in the cvs source repo v3.3 will will be the version for production abet as a gamma so as with any software keeping back ups of the data files is a must, as a safeguard. Keep an eye on the new cvs area and your should start to see files being added as I get some time to do so and I am reasonably sure of the content for this release. Note the only...
As sales testing has completed I have moved on to purchase tesing and more inportantly a major update to the manual which I converted from the sales manual but lots of changes - for obvious reasons - I hope. This manual has now been completed although subject to a (hopefully) final print off and detailed read through, just in case I missed anything - no doubt there will be some :( If any one wishes to read it through, please pass on any errors, ommisions, etc. Testing is still continuing with purchase...
I have uploaded version 3.3 which consists mostly of updating the program sources and manuals to reflect the new version with next to no other changes from last nights nightly build sources. This is preparation to finalise ACAS at release v3.3 final in the next few months.

I have started a cvs repository for v3.3 release which I will start loading up in a few weeks having reversioned the current v3.02 beta which is under test and updates to both manuals and the software. Err, note time frame is under advisement :) .

More testing is in progress for P/L (Purchase Ledger) with minor bugs fixed and some extra features added. Every endeavour is being made to remember to update/commit the code base on a regular time period. This includes manual updates for P/L which is currently being updated (sadly overdue) along with any changes to the P/L code base. In same cases these changes are also being added to the S/L code where there is a match of functionality. This, is going to take some weeks going by my speed of working...
