I'm getting what looks like a DirectDraw problem with
the "-window" option. The Abuse32 window is created
and everything outside of the display routines seem
to be running okay (if you know the keyboard
sequence, you can exit the game). However, the client
area is usually entirely black. On a few rare
ocassions, the client area contains a distorted image
of the game screen -- wrong scale, rgb
mismatch, "interlace affect". I'm not able yet to
consistently reproduce the image distortion.

I can reproduce the black screen with a combinations
of options: "-window -edit", "-window -size 640 480 -
