i'm maintaining a freelance project, that helps people playing new various a/v formats as ogm/wm9/etc whithout need of those popular codec paks which became bad habbit to new users (http://impulse7.com/zero/). moreover, my demand is to propose solution which is indepentent from preffered player so it should be direct show compatible.
my latest idea is to include aacplus streams and mp4 files to my page. but i get stucked (aac streaming works with foobar and vlc which have internal support but not as general and universal DS filter). i received some inspiration from hans-juergen so i will try today some of his hints. but i stll have two questions right now:
- where to get showcast direct show filter as a separate package? - which as i understand is part of vivid player - i did a lot of googling without success
- is there any alternative to 3ivx for parsing/spliting MPEG-4? (DS of course)
