I am afraid I have not found a good method for that yet. Simply deleting all files that do not have a "publish" attribute but do exist on the server is too dangerous. You can easily delete log files, for example. Listing the file that are not to be deleted would be possible, but that takes some effort and you might make mistakes, causing nasty problems. This is not only a question of how to implement it, there is also the issue whether the user wants previously uploaded files to be deleted or not. I have at least one situation where I use the recipe just to upload new files without worrying about what was uploaded previously. Compare the targets used for version control: the "commit" target checks in changed files and adds new files, while the "revise" target also deletes files. Suggestions are welcome. > Something that somehow confused me: > I have two machines running aap (one Linux and one HPUX) and both are now > runnung version 0.147 (they display it when calling aap --version), but on > my Linux machine I have the following directories > /usr/local/lib/aap/Exec-0.145 > /usr/local/lib/aap/Exec-0.146 > > and on my HPUX machine I have > /usr/local/lib/aap/Exec-0.129 > /usr/local/lib/aap/Exec-0.145 > > Why isn't there a 0.147 directory? What happens is that the version number of the Aap program that is currently running is used to set the version number. Confusing, isn't it? I'll fix that. For the time being you can use "./aap install". -- "When I die, I want a tombstone that says "GAME OVER" - Ton Richters /// Bram Moolenaar -- Bram@Moolenaar.net -- http://www.Moolenaar.net \\\ /// Creator of Vim - Vi IMproved -- http://www.Vim.org \\\ \\\ Project leader for A-A-P -- http://www.A-A-P.org /// \\\ Help AIDS victims, buy at Amazon -- http://ICCF.nl/click1.html /// |
