XR Animator

XR Animator is a free, open-source motion capture application designed for VTubing, avatar animation, and extended reality experiences. It uses Google MediaPipe to track body movements through a webcam or recorded media. Users can animate VRM and MMD avatars using facial expressions, hand movements, and full-body poses. The software supports ARKit-compatible facial blendshapes for detailed expression tracking. Motion capture recordings can be exported in formats such as VMD, BVH, and glTF. Users can customize virtual scenes with images, videos, panoramas, and 3D objects. Desktop versions provide transparent backgrounds and VMC protocol integration. Available through browsers and desktop applications, XR Animator supports flexible virtual character production.
