Vue Lit is a small proof-of-concept framework combining Vue’s reactivity system with lit-html and native Web Components. Its implementation is only about 70 lines of framework code, with the two main dependencies totaling roughly 6 KB when compressed. The API closely resembles Vue’s Composition API while producing browser-native custom elements underneath. Components can declare reactive state, accept properties, and return lit-html templates for rendering. Lifecycle helpers cover mounting, updating, and unmounting behavior. Components can be nested like ordinary custom HTML elements while retaining reactive updates. The repository is primarily an experiment showing how Vue-style composition concepts can work with standards-based custom elements.
