sqlx is a Go library that extends the standard database/sql package without replacing its underlying interfaces or programming model. Its database, transaction, statement, connection, and related types remain supersets of their standard-library equivalents. This allows existing database/sql applications to adopt additional functionality with relatively little restructuring. Query results can be mapped directly into structs, embedded structs, maps, and slices. Named parameters and named prepared statements simplify queries that would otherwise rely entirely on positional bind variables. Convenience methods such as Get and Select reduce boilerplate when retrieving single records or collections, while additional helpers support expanded queries and driver-specific binding behavior.
