Slackcat is a lightweight command-line utility for sending files, text snippets, and command output directly to Slack. It can upload an existing file or accept piped standard input from shell commands. Users can also stream continuous output, such as live log data, into a Slack channel. The tool supports OAuth-based configuration and can work with multiple teams and default channels. Options allow users to choose channels, filenames, file types, comments, usernames, emoji icons, threads, and testing behavior. It is designed to connect terminal workflows with Slack without requiring a separate graphical interface.
