PyAutoGUI

PyAutoGUI is a cross-platform Python library for automating graphical desktop interfaces through programmatic mouse and keyboard control. Scripts can move the pointer, click, drag, scroll, and send individual keys or complete keyboard shortcuts. It can capture screenshots and locate known images on the screen, enabling visually guided automation. The library also provides simple alert, confirmation, prompt, and password dialog boxes. Screen dimensions and current pointer coordinates can be inspected to help scripts adapt to the environment. On supported systems, related functionality can interact with application windows for positioning and state changes. PyAutoGUI runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and is commonly used for repetitive desktop tasks, GUI testing, and automation where direct APIs are unavailable.
