OmniRush is an open-source desktop coding agent for working directly on local software projects with frontier AI models. Users can select different models and reasoning-effort levels for each conversation. Personal OpenAI, Anthropic, and other provider credentials can also be added alongside the models available through an OmniRush account. Skills and MCP servers can be installed from a shared library and made available across models. The agent can clone repositories, create branches and worktrees, commit changes, push code, and open or review pull requests. Approval controls determine when tool calls require confirmation, with destructive operations receiving stricter handling. Current desktop builds target Apple Silicon macOS and several x64 and ARM64 Linux package formats.
