Limusic is an open-source desktop YouTube Music client built with Rust and Tauri for a lightweight, native listening experience. It streams audio directly through YouTube's internal API using libmpv, providing playback without advertisements. Users can search songs, albums, artists, and playlists while accessing their YouTube Music libraries and listening history. The application supports multiple accounts, playlist management, gapless playback, and loudness normalization. Its synchronized lyrics display includes automatic scrolling, word-level highlighting, and available translations. Audio customization includes tempo, pitch, reverb, and saved presets. Additional features include local music playback, Last.fm and ListenBrainz scrobbling, and Discord Rich Presence. Users can also customize the interface, control playback through system media keys, and join synchronized listening rooms.
