GenSMBIOS

GenSMBIOS is an open-source Python utility designed to generate System Management BIOS identification information for macOS installations on non-Apple hardware. It uses Acidanthera's macserial tool to create randomized identifiers associated with supported Mac models. The software helps users configure SMBIOS properties required by bootloaders such as OpenCore and Clover. It generates Mac serial numbers, motherboard serial numbers, and other identification values used in system configuration. Users can specify a Mac model identifier and generate multiple sets of compatible SMBIOS data. The utility can also write generated information into property list configuration files, reducing repetitive manual editing. Its command-line workflow makes it useful for Hackintosh setup, hardware identity configuration, and troubleshooting system identification issues.
