Duplicacy is an open-source cloud backup tool designed to protect files through efficient incremental backups and deduplicated storage. It uses a lock-free architecture that allows multiple computers to back up to the same storage destination simultaneously. Its cross-computer deduplication reduces redundant data while preserving independent backup histories. The software divides files into content-addressed chunks without relying on a centralized chunk database. It supports local storage, SFTP, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Google Drive, and other cloud providers. Duplicacy also provides encryption, snapshot restoration, backup verification, and retention management. Available through a command-line tool and a separate web interface, it supports Windows, macOS, and Linux backup workflows.
