Dragit is a free, open-source file sharing application designed for transferring files between computers connected to the same network. It provides a simple graphical interface that eliminates the need for manually configuring shared folders or network services. The software automatically discovers nearby computers using multicast DNS and the libp2p library. Users can transfer files by dragging them onto the receiving device's designated drop zone. Recipients must approve incoming transfers before files are saved to their computers. Dragit supports customizable download locations and basic network configuration. On Linux, it can detect firewall restrictions and offer to configure the necessary ports. Built with Rust and GTK, Dragit is available for Windows and Linux.
