DeckCraft is an open-source presentation editor written in pure Rust as a clean-room reimplementation of familiar PowerPoint workflows. It can create slide decks with masters, layouts, themes, placeholders, shapes, pictures, tables, charts, notes, comments, and custom slide sizes. Presentation tools include transitions, animations, full-screen slide shows, and reusable formatting inherited from layouts and masters. The application can open and save PowerPoint files while also maintaining its own editable project structure. Every interface action maps to a stable command that scripts and AI agents can invoke directly. Automation is available through a command-line utility, JSON control channel, and MCP server. DeckCraft runs on macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and the browser and is currently progressing through its alpha stage.
