Crabdrop is a free, open-source desktop file manager for browsing and transferring files in S3-compatible object storage. It works with Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, MinIO, and other services implementing the S3 API. Users can navigate stored objects through a graphical interface without relying on command-line utilities. Its drag-and-drop functionality simplifies uploading files directly from the desktop. Folder uploads allow entire directories to be transferred in a single operation. Large files benefit from multipart uploads, which divide transfers into smaller parts. Upload progress indicators help users monitor ongoing operations. Built with Tauri, Crabdrop is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, providing a lightweight interface for everyday cloud storage management.
